Moomo AML & KYC Statement

Effective Date: 12th june, 2025

At Moomo, we are fully committed to maintaining the highest standards of compliance with global Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations. These practices are in place to protect our users, partners, and the wider financial ecosystem from misuse, including activities related to money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, or other unlawful conduct.

Identity Verification (KYC)

We’ve made our KYC process as simple, secure, and user-friendly as possible. Before you can access the full range of Moomo’s trading tools, we’ll guide you through a short identity verification step. This helps us comply with regulations and ensures that Moomo remains a safe place for all users.

Our process includes:
  • One form of government-issued ID (passport, national ID, or driver’s license)
  • One proof of address (like a utility bill or bank statement issued within the last 3 months)
  • Quick selfie check (for facial match with your ID—takes seconds)
  • Optional video verification (only required in special cases for extra security)
  • Note: Your data is encrypted, stored securely, and never shared with any third parties without your consent.

We may occasionally request additional information if required for enhanced due diligence. You’ll be notified clearly and supported every step of the way.

Moomo reserves the right to limit or deny platform access if identity verification cannot be completed for regulatory or security reasons.

AML Compliance

Moomo operates under a strict internal Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program that includes:

  • Real-time monitoring for suspicious or high-risk transactions
  • Automated alerts for unusual trading patterns
  • Regular policy updates in line with international AML standards
  • Ongoing employee training and third-party audits where necessary

We work only with licensed partners and remain in full compliance with Irish, EU, and international AML frameworks, including those defined by:

  • The Financial Action Task Force (FATF)
  • The European Banking Authority (EBA)
  • The Central Bank of Ireland, where applicable

Our Promise to You

Moomo will never ask for more than what is required, and our support team is always here to help if you get stuck.
We’re committed to creating a safe, secure, and seamless investing experience without unnecessary friction.
